... the 1963 Europa Grande Prix ... it went right past the house we lived in ... in Zweibruken, Germany ... right across the street, there was a large Rose Garden, and on the corner, they put up a scaffold platform with a TV camera ... the cars would race down one street, then turn the corner to the street along the Rose Garden ... since our house was right on the corner, the camera was continually panning back and forth and you could see our house on the local German TV station ... I could see myself on TV as I moved around in the front window of our house ... I was 3 ½ ...

Four years old, coming home from Nursery School everyday (aka Pre-K)... sitting behind the coffee table, snacking on chocolate chip cookies with milk, watching Mister Rogers' Neighbourhood. Every time I see that show, i get an image of myself doing that. Oh, how simple life was.
