  • i would say no....aren't Puffer fish a marine fish, they need a different type of water environment to goldfish
  • Puffer fish need brackish water at the least, and warmer than your goldfish is probably used to (not that a goldfish *can't* live in warm water, I had an 8-inch goldfish disputing that claim). They'll probably try to chew on eachother, but the major hindrance is that as the puffer gets older, it needs a higher and higher salt concentration.
  • Neither would be healthy if you managed to keep them alive. Goldfish don't do well in warm water, and Puffer fish don't do well in cold water. Puffer fish are bracketwater fish (semi-saltwater), and Goldfish are freshwater. If you managed to find a compromise that both could tolerate, it would not be an environment that promotes the well-being of either. Better to set up two tanks if you want both.
