  • Whats the question ???
  • they knew for 26 yrs, and did nothing. were they good lawyers, and heinous people? could you survive 26 yrs, and not lose your mind?
  • If I were one of those two attorneys I'd be layin' low. Dude's gotta be pissed yo...
  • Heinous all the way. I thought a prosecutor was supposed to dismiss charges in a case like this.
  • Heinous, that is one of the worst things that they could do to sombody... (short of killing them)
  • Wow. Do you have a link to the story? What an injustice. They cannot be good lawyers if, as officers of the court, allowed an injustice to occur without redress.
  • The attorneys couldn't help the guy. They represented a man who confessed the crime to them, and as such were bound by attorney-client privilege. Our justice system is imperfect; if anything, the problem was with the alleged witnesses and possibly the police work. The attorneys did nothing wrong: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/03/06/60minutes/main3914719.shtml
  • Ethics for lawyers in the US is a joke. He would spend his entire life in prison. That's tantamount to killing him. You have a moral responsibilty as a human being to get him out, no matter what. You can't say your hands are tied. You find a way. You don;t wait until the news breaks, 26 years later. They should be thrown in jail.
  • The lawyers should them be inprisioned for a equal time
