  • The person engaging in selling his/her body for money to strangers is a very sad, very lonely and very destructive thing..all that potential focused on an act of animal lust..are we humans not supposed to have higher goals than settling for our most basic selves? What a waste! :(
  • It is legal in most countries other than the US.
  • Our most basic laws that we all live by today and in the past have all been based on the Ten Commandments and the bible.
  • Because most people demand it to be so, demand that their politicians do so also. If they allowed it and didn't support it's ban, then they would all look like immoral citizens. So to retain their facade, they pretend moral outrage. But there are people who still think it is wrong because of moral values they hold dear and follow, but the majority do it as a front of decency, I feel. There isn't much they can hold up to say they have values, and if it's illegal, it's so nice and easy to trap the 'other guy' with his pants down in some scandal.
  • it is illegal because in most cases, it isnt voluntary.
  • well because the bible and christianity are the foundation of our society whether or not we like it. because all of our moral laws came from the laws of the bible originally. Think about it and you'll know i'm right. adultery? from the bible. prositution? from the bible. sexual abuse? from the bible. beastiality? from the bible. i could go on and on and on.
  • 1. Because we are human beings. 2. Well, we could all become prostitutes. I mean, hell, why would I want to do my dirty stinking job when I could earn heaps more by playing around in bed? I know what I would rather be doing. We'll all be rich!!! Except then no-one would do any real work and so nothing would get built, there'd be nothing to eat, and finally prostitutes won't make much money at all and if you visit the right third world countries you just might now understand why their prostitutes are so cheap. 3. Because it automatically tells the customer that he is so unattractive that no-one wants to sleep with him - they just want his money. 4. Because the prostitute has to decide between doing whatever depraved act the customer demands and starving. 5. Because the law tries to be merciful. 6. Because prostitution encourages foolish men to push themselves to extremes in work, never taking the appropriate time to learn to look after a woman so that she loves him. These men grow old and miserable, bitter and angry that the only thing a woman wants is their wallet. Well, they weren't there to offer anything else, were they? 7. Every day, prostitutes have to decide between survival and the sick and the disgusting. Needless to say, their world view ends up quite twisted too. I used to think there was nothing wrong with prostitution. But as you see, my ideas have changed with time. Really, who should pay who and why? If you do visit a prostitute, could you get her worked up to the point where she'd agree to pay YOU instead?
  • Do u ever heard about AIDS? There is no cure exist for AIDS. Prostitution increases this life stopping disease. There is nothing goes to sleep anyone. However LOVE everyone in lovely and peacefull manner. There are other ways to make money. If you have ability and intelligence you can reach on TOP of the world. LIfe is very beautiful if you want to live beautifully.
  • Prostitution isn't illegal in some areas of Nevada. There are brothels outside of larger areas, like Vegas and Reno. It is illegal inside those cities. I've also heard that sex for money isn't illegal in Rhode Island... but that both soliciting on the street and operating a brothel is. So as long as your "jobs" were privately negotiated, you couldn't be arrested for charging money for sex. As for why it's illegal everywhere else? That's how the law was set - and nobody's pushed for changing it. Even if it was proposed to remove those laws, I doubt it would have enough support to pass the voters.
