  • Here is a site that will answer all your ferreting questions:-) http://www.all-about-ferrets.com/
  • I think so. My ferrets were always happiest when they had a buddy to share their cage and play time with. I will never have a solitary ferret again.
  • yes, really think about it how long is your ferret out of the cage playing with you everyday? well the rest of the time he is sitting in the cage being bored and lonely staring at the wall, 2 would keep eachother company. And there are things a ferret does a human can not do . I think 3 is a good number 2 females and a male, i have 2 males and a female, the female is SOOO much smaller than the males its hard for her to play with them, she still curls up and sleeps with them though.
  • I am a critical care nurse at an an animal hospital. I actually have a 12 year old very healthy ferret, that does not have any hair loss or tumors!! I atribute it to the fact that he is a "house ferret" he is allowed to roam my bedroom free range. He is potty trained, but still will poop in the occational corner due to their high metabolism and short intestional tract. wake n poop! He has never bit anybody. I can acuually put his head in my mouth and he will not bite my tongue. He acts just like a puppy. He is so playful and still youthful. I feel that if an animal is potty trained that it does not need to be caged. I still have a 3 tierd cage for him for comfort reasons. his litter pan, food, water, and bed are there for him. but the cage door is never closed. They sleep 16 hours a day but it is broken up, so if you can, try to have him ouy more. I feel that that is why he has lived so long. I even take him out for walks on a harness. ...Katana.1979@yahoo.com
