  • Well, the story is about preserving life. It does not give a reason as to why that life is preserved. Pigs are alive therefore Noah had to save the species.
  • The pigs turned up and they had tickets....all aboard!
  • The story of Noah took place before Judaism existed. Why God told the Jews they were not to eat pork is unknown, only that it was one of the many things that made them "different" from their neighbours. Perhaps that was the only reason: God had chosen them as His special people to be the receptacle for the Messiah when He came, and He wanted a special people that stood out from the rest. Islam just stole the practice from Judaism, as it did so many of its practices.
  • the pig was brought on the ark so he can eat all the other animals feces
  • Pigs have more use than just eating. If Noah had not saved the pig, we would not have Babe or Charlotte's Web.
  • well ... you might as well ask why God created pigs in the first place ... i would probably say Noah took the pigs by order from God ... the purpose of the flood was not to sort out creation ... it was a punishment to mankind and a point in time to start all over
  • Most 4 legged anmals are forbidden to Jews to eat there is no connection between what Noah brought on to the ark and what Jews are permitted to eat. In fact according to Jewish tradition up until Noah's time the world was vegetarians that is whay the 7 Noahide laws is called Noahide not Addamhide because only 6 laws existed till Noahs time and when he left the ark God gave him permision to eat animals but added the 7th prohibiotion to the list that forbids eating a peice of meat taken from an animal that is still living at the time of consumption. Noah also brought dogs cats squirrels etc. and they are examples of "unclean animals"
  • Cuz God told Noah to take two of EVERY animal, not just the ones he could eat.
  • First of all, pork was not forbidden until judism, they have forbidden it on themselves and then it was forbidden in Christianity and then in Islam. I wouldnt say that it has been "stolen" from Judism, it was an instruction that began with Judism the latest religon of all three, then came Christianity and after that came Islam.... That is one reason why Noah "bothered" taking pigs with him into the ark. A second thing is that God has ordered Noah to take a pair of each and every animal with no exceptions, other wise why bother taking other animals that no one would ever eat in the first place??
  • PIG is forbidden to eat yes but so are horses and camels and many other animals that have other uses, pigs are great at cleaning up the place and of course finding truffles...
  • Because God instructed him to. He was instructed to take 7/7 of the clean animals, and 2/2 of the unclean animals.
