Congratulations to your new title, AB guy! As I made Sage, it was a big deal for me. It was the first time I received a congratulation. I have only got another title congratulation since, for Maestro. And I have been working hard on here, I can tell you! I think the sage title is very important, because after this, you can give the maximum of points, just the same number as a Maestro, Guru, Swami and Genius. You feel accepted as an accomplished member of the community. Of course, it is no reason to feel superior to the lower titled Answerbaggers. But you can be proud of the work done.

It's no big deal in the outside world, but here on AB is has some value. It only means you can give the maximum uprates and downrates.
