I did. And I really liked it with the plum sauce, it was delicious. But now that I work next to a lake... I don't know if I could bring myself to do it!!!

I had roast duck at an upscale Connecticut restaurant several times as a young man. I remembered it was a little bit gamey tasting and greasy. I think the last time I ate it was the last time because I had a wicked case of indigestion the next day.

  • It's been a long time, but I did like duck. It's just a lot greasier than chicken (and goose is even greasier than duck). The place I recall was back in Roanoke,VA...a Polynesian restaurant that served Peking duck. It was kind of a sweet n sour glaze on the duck.

My spouse and I had duck at a Chinese restaurant. It was tasty, kind of greasy, and I think it was baked. That was many years ago and we've never had it since.

Having lived in france for years, I got accustomed to magret de canard. It is delicious, rather fatty but delicious. I started making it in my flat but it wasnnt the same. A place not far from me did a magret frites and quart de vin for ten euros anyways so it wasn`t expensive. Good feed.

Not sure how it was cooked, but I remember it was a bit greasy for my taste. I just had a bite of dh's meal. He ate the whole thing, then got REALLY sick for the rest of the night.

Yes and it has become one of my all-time favourites. The dish I love most is usually served in Chinese restaurants and is called "Crispy Shredded Duck". Generally speaking they come over with a whole duck which has been cooked till its crispy and then shred it for you at the table. They serve this with pancakes, a mixture of vegetables and Hoi Sin sauce and you make the pancakes yourself at the table. Yum!

Yes. I do like it. I've had it prepared a few different ways. The most recent time was last month in an Indian restaurant.

I think the only duck I've ever had was duck confit, and it was served on a salad with figs, and some kind of nuts. It was good - all the parts of that dish went together really well.
