People who don't donate blood: Why don'y you give blood? would you if you we're able? (e.g. gay/low iron count)

Doctors found blood in my marijuana stream and deemed it unusable. :) Seriously, I smoke weed, so I can't donate blood. Even though they can clean that out , they still won't take the blood. I say screw it. If someone needs a transfusion, let em get high from it , lol!

Last time I tried my blood pressure was too low to be allowed to give blood. Needles bother me anyway, so after being told no, I haven't really tried again. Maybe sometime I'll try it again. My husband gives regularly and I keep thinking about going with him to try.

I want too but I am anemic so they won't let me. I wish I could but oh well.

Men who are gay are eligilble to donate blood if they have not had uprotected sex with a man, had a blood transfusion before the started screening them and have not used intravenous drugs. That said I donate blood when I am able too. Sometimes I cannot b/c of medical reasons.

I have low blood pressure and am slightly underweight for my height, depending on who you listen to. If I could AND the bloodmobile were accessible (less than an hour round-trip during my hours) I would, but I have to settle for being an organ donor.
