I've heard lots of stories about men running off after getting a girl pregnant, but how often does a girl get pregnant and run off, leaving the child with the man?

I've known three girls that have done that.

Well I can only answer you from experience, one of my ex-gf's dad raise her because of problems/drugs with the mom, he stepped up and took responsibilty. To answer your question not very often to never does a girl run-off and leave the child with the man. The girl gives birth and if she didnt want to keep it I would assume she would give it up for adoption or worse. A very small percentage of men will step up and take control of that situation.

I have an acquaintance that had the mother of his child run off on him. He's raising their son alone, and doing a very good job of it. I think that the vast majority of the time it's the man that runs off.
