My friend, sounds like you have more problems than you can handle right now. With that amount of debt and your current situation you might consider bankrupcy. If things are hard now expect them to get tougher. I don't know what you did for the debt to get out of control but live within your means and it won't happen again.
48,000 at 9% over 15 years is just under 490.00 per month. If you have collateral, most banks will lend you the money. try a Credit Union or a small bank.
Hey buddy I can help you for your problem..I was in same situation...I took the help of one debt settlement company..They reduce my debt by 60%...Now I m relax...So you should also take the advantage of their debt settlement program and get out of your debt..Just visit http://www.debtconsolidation123.net/
All I can say is be very carefull.
Someguy_is_a_year_older's advice seems sound to me, be wary of easy fixes.
Make sure you know what rates you're paying now and what rates any new deals will charge.
Remember you ALWAYS pay for services, ask how.
If it sounds too good to be true, it is.
