Hillary Clinton is suggesting a Cabinet level position that will be devoted to ending poverty in America. Should this be done? If so, will it work?

As long as there are other people with more there will always be poor! Even if the poorest had millions, if the majority had billions they would still be considered poor! It will not work unless she makes everyone the same! A cabinet level post for consumer affairs would be more appropriate!

The government sucks at getting anything accomplished........this rings true around the world and is no different for the US government . The amount of resourses and money that would be wasted under a government program such as this would be extrodinary........and it wouldn't even help the people in poverty. . so your question as to will it work??? NO! . in my personal opinion, i think the welfare the government gives out should be reduced, so that the people in poverty will pull themselves up.....instead of sitting in the pool of government aid their whole life.

No. There are already plenty of opportunities, and programs for that. My father pulled himself up by his own bootstraps, and anyone else can, too.
