Question

Help answer this question below.

I found a two year-old box of condoms in my closet. The expiration date is still a year away, but I'm still apprehensive. Are they still usable, or should I throw them out?

  • That is dependent on whether or not they were stored properly. If they were not exposed to excessive heat or cold temperatures or otherwise compromised then they are probably okay to use. Even new ones can break or slide off. If you are apprehensive though, go with your gut feeling and spring for a new box of condoms.

The old adage says, "If in doubt, throw it out!" If you end up with 18 years of unwanted responsibility you will undoubtedly ask yourself why you didn't spend the extra $5 for some added assurance.

Also take into account that every day they are improving the design and performance of condoms so it wouldnt hurt to update your supply to something more current.
