i think face to face haggling is better anyone can tell a phone or computer no but it is harder face to face. i think the best way to purchase the car would be a bank wire transfer. They are sucure. call the dealership and ask for a salesmen they can help you get started. Good luck with the car :D

Buying a used car sight-unseen is a tad risky. Yet, it's done all the time on eBay. In a way, you have an advantage! Have you ever noticed that most dealerships insist that you come to the dealership, before they'll talk seriously to you, when you call to inquire about a car in an ad? That's because the salesman has an enormous advantage over you when you're together in the showroom. Over the phone or in email, the salesman can't play his typical tricks on you. All there is to talk about are the facts (price, options, repair history of the car, etc.). Once the deal is settled, it's just a matter of faxing the contract back and forth, mailing a money order or bank check to the dealership, and arranging shipping. If you wish to pick up your car in person, you can save shipping charges that way, and most states have provisions for temporary registration to drive a "new" car from one state to another, but plan a day at the New York DMV to get the paperwork straightened out. And keep in mind that most states' MV agencies require numerous proofs of identity before they'll issue you any documents. So go prepared!

Never buy a vehicle sight unseen. they can promise you the moon, yet deliver you a lemon. never buy a vehicle without a test drive. never buy a vehicle without researching the title, to make sure its not been wrecked or from hurricane katrina in new orleans. If you make this purchase, it will be "as is" and that could be "shouldn't have" for you. Its your money. i would hate for you to purchase this automobile, sight unseen, and have the police come knocking on your door, to recover a liened or stolen automobile. Research first.
