Why do some of us cry when we think about the heart of Jesus?

My guess would probably be because it's so overwhelming to think that He had it in his Sacred Heart to do something like that for us.

because of what he has done for us and what we have or have not done for him... the amount of love he has shown us and us realizing that we have not done what we COULD to show him that we love him.

I don't cry when I think about Jesus' heart or the heart of God..I cry when I think about the pain, grief and despair we cause them because we are imperfect human beings, we treat one another abysmally badly at times, and we do such awful things in Their Name..ungodly things..terrible things. I don't think it's the heart so much as the soul that is in pain here! :(
