  • usually several years
  • From 2 to 4 years. Depends on the genetics too. Keep it healthy and it'll be 5 to 6 years.
  • We had two, one with his tail chopped off when my daughter closed the door on it, we bandaged it up. The other, had his spine broke when he ran around my sons traintrack and my son accidently stepped on him. We fixd him up a little wheelthing for his back legs. The gerbil with no tail took care of he other one for 4 years, did evrything for him. The more seriously hurt died one Friday night, the other male died the next night. My kids should have been more careful, regretfully, They were so sad at their bad judgment, but the little guys lived 4 years, even hurt, I hope not in pain. So, a healthy one can live years.
  • A few years? Unless, you drop them. O.o
  • Most rodents belonging to the order muroidae (mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils, voles, lemmings etc.) live anywhere between 6 months to 4 years. Their lifespans are determined by a combination of genetics, diet, and accumulated injuries.
  • Not long, if Richard Gere owns them.
  • Yeah its around 3 years.
  • Gerbils can live anywhere between 3-5 years. Mine are two and they act like babies still.
  • I've read about a gerbil that lived 8 years, but it's highly unusual. On this website, twinsqueaks, it said that minimum would be 2 and 2 and a half is when changes might start happening like slowing down. My gerbil is 2 and she's doing fine. Normal is 2-3. 5 is usually max.
  • About 3 years.
