Tobacco isn't considered a vegetable, and even if it was, the fact that smoking causes cancer would still make it bad for you.

Well, tobacco isn't really the bad part of cigarettes. It's the artifically added nicotine that is. But, no. Tobacco is not a veggie...most probably considered an herb.

Tobacco is a plant. Not all plants are good for you. Deadly nightshade is a plant. Sting nettle is a plant.

It's just like a weed, not even the flower is very pretty. Just a green plant that turns brown when dried.
