none really they are just words. I never understood why people get so bent out of shape over a word.
-
No harm, except to show the limited vocabulary and intelligence of the speaker. :o)
-
They don't phase me. Just words to express feelings. They can hurt your feelings if you take them to seriously, but I haven't gotten wet from the word water yet..
-
They are like second hand smoke, and even though you may not cuss like others, hearing it is still harmful, and the younger the hearer the more likely they will repeat it, and do you really want children's first words to be 4 letter ones?
-
they don't do any harm what so ever, they are a simply a form showing your frustasion, better that than to hurt some one or damage something you could regret later.
-
Would you tell your mother to f--- of,or indeed call her a c--t. That's what is bad about curse words, don't use them
-
Hell if I know.
-
Most curse words refer to private parts of the body, bodily functions or have religious undertones. When we communicate with others, the manner in which we speak and the words we choose convey a level of respect and social etiquette. Using curse words is not only a substitute for more accurate or descriptive vocabulary but it demonstrates a certain disregard for the other person's sensibilities. Not everyone has the same comfort level with regard to graphic words. I'm not saying curse words are inherently bad or that I don't use them, but a little grace goes a long way.

Well, they are just words in actuality, but words have a form of magic about them in that they have a resonance that comes from their origins. So, if you think about it, they are a vehicle for emotion/energy and if we say we hate somebody or curse them in any way we are letting our feelings take a free ride without a proper driver. If I say 'I love you', how do you feel? Well, that's what it's about. But - better words that hurt than actions that kill, I guess. However, words have a way of piling up and can't be unsaid once said. Be careful.
-
I think it is because they just sound ugly. I know I spread them around, but when my kids say one boy it sounds crass and ugly. <something I do not condone, by the way. Just thought I would mention that.>
-
"Curse words" or "words of curse" are actual cursed words. When said in mass quantities, they have been known to cause a resurgence of the bubonic plague and, in one extreme case, summon the demonic dragon "Geldon". Better watch your tongue, or you may vomit out your intestines.
-
They don't do any harm at all.
-
Words have great power, you can't deny that. They are even called 'curse' words. They are a curse to language. They only express negative things and coarseness without being helpful or enlightening. They upset people, they hurt people because they have such power. When people use those words they show others disrespect for the ones that do recognize their power.
-
Taboo words are those that are considered in bad taste by some people or that are better to be avoided because they mention realities that are stark or vulgar. They refer to sex, religion, necessities such as the act of emptying the bladder or the bowels, and so on. Examples: f--k, fornicate, masturbation, prick, c--t, the devil, crap, piss, etc. Satisfied.
