  • I plan what I need to bring several days before and make sure it's washed up. I usually start packing at least a couple of days before.
  • At least one to two days before. Usually, the night before is best I think. That way you don't have to keep packing and unpacking.
  • I have to pack at least a day before because I am a total nutcase about what to pack
  • The little woman packs--I don't know when she starts--my job is to carry to them to the car and sometimes, to stand on them so that she can get them closed.
  • I usually start the day before. Then, if I can't close the suitcase, I still have time to take out what I can do without.
  • I wait until a few minutes before the taxi is down stairs. Then I rush around the house like a mad-woman and toss anything I can find into a bag. It all works out when I get there. I usually forget something unimportant like my toothbrush or my passport.
  • I have done so much travelling that it is like second nature. I wait till the night before then I pack what I need. Then I relax with a stiff drink and get a good night`s sleep.
