Cool mist humidifiers are good. We use bland aerosol therapy in the hospital to help thin out the mucus and get it moving. You also need to have a sufficient intake of water. If you are having respiratory issues I would def. get into a doc. Mucus plugging in the lungs can get pretty bad.

A warm glass of water,honey,lemon.

Stick a Q-tip as deep in each ear as you can, and swirl it around. It will make you cough, and most should come out. Works for me, and i knew another guy i worked with told me the same. Try it.

Apple cider vinegar. only a tablespoon each night.

steam is the best remedy for your condition. also, take 1/2 teaspoon of ginger juice and 1 teaspoon of honey twice a day. though this is a bit hot for your body, so you can also take it once a day. carry on till you feel better. it is very effective. take care.
