Here's a guess... it's just not a big enough social problem... plus -- there's no "crime" associated with it. Most of the anti-drug laws were developed 50 years ago when the "all drugs lead to heroin addiction" thinking was prevalent. Even so, today, criminality and pot go hand and hand... wander into somebody's grow op by accident and you could get yourself killed by somebody that wouldn't even touch the stuff themself.

Why are any drugs illegal? You wanna smoke/snuff/inject it, knock yourself out. I think that what needs to happen is that all drugs should be monitored by the government. Making it illegal won't make it go away.

Because very few people use it and theres no crime with it. Having said that this plant can KILL. It has unpleasant side effects that would put many people off using this plant for kicks. The margin between hallucinogenic and deadly dose is far smaller than other hallucinogens

I don't understand why the more harmful drugs like datura are legal, while much less harmful drugs like shrooms and marijuana are illegal. It just doesn't make any sense. It is a hallucinogen and it is actually toxic and can kill you.
