I don't use a specific tongue cleaner generally, but I do brush my tongue with my toothbrush. That seems to do the job equally well.

I use a tounge cleaner thats sort of U shaped. It does the job quite well since it has been specifically designed for the purpose. although i think it has a lot to do with what u mostly eat, drinking lots of water will reduce the build up.

I have never felt the need to do so.
