They are both the same - Football is the proper name - The USA is the only place in the world, they call it soccer.
-
soccer. i understand it more and football bores me
-
Soccer ... It's way better
-
Soccer can get kinda boring, but the stunts they pull are awesome. I prefer football--and I'm Brazilian!
-
got to agree with mikeysx.football and soccer is the same thing.its only in america that its called soccer.
-
I prefer football coz I live in the US where football is one of our great sports. I have much respect for soccor, but it's difficult for me to sit and watch an entire match, I dont have the patience.
-
Football.
-
Soccer. For sure.
-

-
SOCCER OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!
-

Aussie Rules Football. I can't get into soccer. The scores are always low, nothing really happens for the first however long. There's the off-side rule which I STILL don't get. Too much tomfoolery with respect to free kicks and trips. Eh. In AFL there's always something to see. No timeouts. Four quarters with a nice break in the middle. The ball's shape makes its path less predictable. The blokes get clobbered, and get straight back up. Yeah, AFL any day.
-
Football. Much more exciting. Plus i live in the US. Most people just dont really care about soccer around here.
-
SOCCER ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
i like soccer...which is called football over in Europe...cause technically it is "football" lol but i do like soccer over American foot ball, its quite an exhilarating sport, and requires much skill (although, some people beg to differ, but thats cause they have never played...or at least not for a long period of time to even gain respect...obviously)
-
Soccer is boring (and I'm British, by the way). American Football is much more exciting, with a higher degree of visible skill involved.
-
Real Football, the game where they kick the ball and are penalised for touching it with their hands.
-
American version of football. I know the foot is used very little. The excitement is much higher in US football and the scoring is more frequent. The different skills are highlighted and easily seen plus I understand it because I've played it. I don't under soccer and don't really care for primarily because I don't understand it.
-
soccer/football really hasn't caught on in the states. They don't wait for Saturday college soccer matches. No Sunday Pro soccer matches there. No Monday nite soccer matches. The reason being people in the states find it dull. Now I'm not saying that it doesnt take skill to be a fine soccer player. There are so many facets to the American football game. More rules, more points scored.Different ways to score points. More players. Most important hot cheerleaders on the side lines. :-)

i hate people calling football soccer we made football b4 u americans made ur silly game wer big fat dum ppl just run into each other english football is the most popular sport in the wold and that will never change! american football they have all padding n pads on, try playing rugby wer u dnt have any pretection just a box :) ha england rule!!
-
Football. I love the hitting. It is the ultimate man's game. I hate the old saying "Football is for people who can't play soccer." My saying "Soccer is for sissies who aren't man enough to play football."
-
I love football for the team play and the calculation involved in each and every play. The rules are complex but so finely tuned that there is always hope if a team is willing to roll a hard six. It's half chess, half gladiator. And I've never seen a tie in my life.
-
Soccer, or what the (sane) world calls football. It actually takes skill, and I've played it so I kind of know what's going on. American football, on the other hand, mostly depends on strength, and I never have any idea what's happening.

-
Soccer/futbol. not American football. I enjoy watching football but i respect soccer players alot more. You need to be alot more athletic to play soccer.
-
soccer is a lot more fun, football is like a caveman sport...
-
Football of course! It was the greatest sport ever created!
-
Do you walk to school or carry your lunch?
-
Football. American football gives me the feeling that the core of the game is purely about entertainment
-
SOCCER!! Football is boring to watch, i dont understand anything im like huh??....
-
Same thing.
-
Same thing.
-
I played both. Soccer is funner to play, football is funner to watch. I think pain has to do with it, and time posession of the ball as well. You don't participate as much in football, whereas soccer you touch the ball more regularly. Love them both though. Go RAMS !! GO RIVER PLATE !!!
-
they are the same thing.
-
Soccer is overall more popular around the world. I'm not going to get into "better", since you can't compare sports that way.
-
personally i say soccer
