Bush would like you to spend your tax rebate as soon as you get it. Better yet buy something on credit.

Can anybody really do anything to help? I know they say every vote and every person counts, but does it really? It seems ppl are only getting more set in their ways and more hateful and negative. Can we all just hold hands and sing around the camp fire? lol:)

G'day Sloppywet, Thank you for your question. It depends on where you are and the policy settings. In the long term, saving and investing in sound companies is the best way. Savings rates are far too low in the US meaning that must import plenty of capital to fund non-productive spending such as US Federal deficits. This is causing much of the problems. What is worse is that there seems to be no political will to fix the problem with each candidate promising more spending. You cannot spend your way to prosperity. Regards

1) legalize & tax marijuana 2) Incarcerate less people 3) Send dying old people to hospices instead of hospitals 4) Develop an alternative fuel, and don't believe the damn lies from Time magazine that it won't work That's just off the top of my head.

Quit buying on credit and do so with cash, something this country realy needs right now.

the economy is self sustaining and self stimulating. the problem is the amoun of debt that has been introduced. a majority of it being owed to companies inside the United states. the most important thing for the single person to do is to buy things period and produce things. work, create markets, or work in ones already around you.

I don't know...but what I do know is we are going to need each other...pantries are going to need to be filled...services will be cut because budget would be able to be held true....but if we help each other we can make it bearable...

To help the US economy, Americans can pay the correct taxes, and stop speculating that the current situation could lead to a Great Depression Part II. If I remember it right, it was speculation that triggered the Asian financian crisis in 1997, that led to the much lower values of Asian currencies.

worry about the economy in your household. If everybody would have done that to begin with, we wouldn't be in this problem. Quit buying crap you can't afford. GET OUT OF DEBT! I recommend listening to Dave Ramsey, and doing one of his financial peace classes, ASAP. If everybody would quit living beyond their means, we'd be fine.

Stop spending on the war machine and death! Spend it on saving lives and making people lives better with better housing, medical, education, and jobs prospects! Make their world safer and more secure! Put and end to white collar crime! Pay off the national debt and watch how strong the dollar becomes!

The solution is quite simple. Go to your congress reps for your state and demand they buy the Federal Reserve back for the required $450 million dollars. This will return the currency back to the federal government and will be in complyence with the constitution of the USA. This will cancel the debt and the USA can issue its own currency. It will also lower your federal taxes to almost nothing. Don't believe me?
