Well I don't know the context for this statement, but it sounds similar to things I've said about 100,000 times.
-
His comments were made in regards to small town voters and their frustration and anger at the economic collapse. He did the same thing the other candidates have done and will continue to do - try to prove to the voters at large, that he understands the American people, their needs and their issues.
-
I didn't know Obama was a member of the Bilderberg group. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/3773019.stm
-
Foolish, as with every thing he says.
-
He's 'talking down' to the little people. That's what he's all about. If he gets elected then he'll continue to do it.
-
Same as when he talked about "... my muslim faith ..." in an interview. "And it's not surprising, then "When?", they "Who is 'they'?" get bitter, they cling to guns** or religion* or antipathy* to people who aren't like them "Who is 'they'?" or anti-immigrant sentiment* or anti-trade sentiment* as a way to explain their frustrations," *= First Amendment rights of speech and religion. The right to have an opinion different from his. **= Second Amendment right to bear arms. He is for these rights only when it benefits him.
-
Spot on.
-
Taken as a political positions, it is very apparent that President Obama favors restrictions on guns and religion, and unrestricted immigration and trade. The reference to "they get bitter" suggests that small town people are small minded jerks if they don't agree with his enlightened big picture point of view.
-
It sounds like he doesn't have much respect for his fellow citizens.
-
What a screwed up thing to say. Than again I don't know the whole speech.
