When the governement doles out this tax relief check, will you spend it or save it? Doesn't it defeat the purpose if people save it becuase "we're in a recession"?

It depends...i have two months left on paying off something. If I get it before then I will use it and finish paying off a bill. If I get it after that it will go into my Elliptical savings...So yeah, I'm spending it. That's so sad. Actually it's going to pay for a ticket I got and traffic school.

Mine is already spent. We need to go my son's destination wedding in Mexico. Pays for the airfare.

We will save 1/2 of it and put the other 1/2 towards our vacation this summer with the kids. It is money we weren't planning on when we scheduled the vacation and with the gas prices as they are, I'm sure that is what it will go for.
