How can I say 'No!' to extend his agony and save taxpayers money?
-
of course not!
-
No, I'd rather give it to someone who deserves it.
-
Have you gone totally insane? This monster should be already dead as it is! Let alone share one of my precious body parts to save his sorry ass...
-
are you effing kidding me? No, NO not a chance in the world would I DONATE my kidney to a rapist!
-
Sure would! For $100 MILLION. Cash. Tax free.
-
Am I NOT dying? If I'm in perfectly good shape, I don't think so... but then again, I would not do that for anyone other than family, or extremely close friends, so it has nothing to do with the serial rapist himself.
-
lol....Id have to say no...just in case they find Bin Laden and he has kidney failure, then I can save it for him.
-
If I'd put myself down as a living organ donor, then I would feel (in my mind at least) morally obligated. And so would go ahead. But I would have some misgivings. Damn that would be a dilemma for sure!!
-
No. Easy question. Next.
-
I'd rather stick my head in a strangely enraged Great White's mouth!
-
That guy has a better chance of getting one of God's kidneys than he does one of mine.
-
Yes. But I would need 5 minutes alone with my removed kidney before it goes to him. Oh, and the number of a good potassium chloride dealer
-
no i never know if any1 i love may need it 1 day so id rather save it for them
-
Not a snowflakes chance in hell.
-
Yes i would. I wuldnt be able to live with myself if it was partly me to blame for a mans death.
-
Nope, if I'm donating a kidney I would rather save it for someone more deserving.
-
Do you have kids?
-
No let the piece of S--- die.
-
no let him die.
-
Uhhh..NO. Let him die. He deserves it.
-
No, because one of his rape victims could also need that kidney. Maybe not at the same time, but maybe in the future. I know it sounds cruel, and I know he could die without it, but each time that man touches a woman, that woman dies inside.
-
Well he was jailed for life - it just appears to be ending a little sooner than they first thought! I don't want one of my law abiding kidneys rotting in jail so I would have to say no, regardless of the crime.
-
Yes, i like him to suffer for the rest of his life, not die earliy!!!
-
So that he can probably continue raping (in the shower)? Hell no. I'd be willing to bet that there's a better chance than not that he probably would not have his kidney issues were it not for the choices he made in life. Providing him with my kidney, or ANY kidney, kind of rewards his lifestyle.
-
One of the best questions I have seen on AB. Wish I could think of one like that. The question could bring lots of answers. I think or know, mine would be. NO.
-
No, he's in jail for life so he's not going to do anything with his life, why prolong it?
-
I would give my kidney to someone who deserves it.
-
I would rather die than save the bastard......seriously,if i get a chance i wod love to kill.
-
I would donate it :) defo everyone makes mistakes even if they are this big and just because of what hes done does not change the fact that he needs a kidney and i am willing to donate so no question i would give it
-
yes what can i say, im christian
-
no. i have no obligation to this person. in addition, for optimum health, it is best to have two kidneys. lastly, if anything were to happen to my own family members, i would be unable to help them with a kidney donation. heres a caveat ~ kidney transplants are not always easy on the donor. a friend of mine gave a kidney to a friend of his wife, who incidentally later ended up betraying his wifes trust and stabbing her in the back over money (they worked in the same office together). what an ingrate. my altruistic friend suffered from multiple painful hernias as a result of the operation, and had to have many post-surgical procedures to try to mend those hernias. he used to play golf avidly ~ now it is difficult for him to do so. so its important to remember that surgery can have serious negative ramifications on ones health, and they are not something to be entered into lightly.
-
I would only ever consider donating a kidney to family or close friends.
-
Is he rich? If there's no monetary gain, what do I care about him?
-
No. The powers that be are giving him what he deserves. Besides. I may need that kidney someday myself.
-
I can't, I only have one kidney. I was born with only one that functions.
-
No i only have pne so i cant give it away lol...
-
An excellent, and very testing question. After careful thought, I have finally come up with the answer "No". The first, and easiest, answer is that kidneys are in very short supply. If this person does not get the kidney, it is likely that within months there will be another, much more deserving, cause. But suppose this was not so - that for some reason I knew this would not deprive any other recipient? Donating a kidney will involve considerable discomfort for me, a moderate amount of immediate danger, and a small future risk that my remaining kidney will pack up. While common humanity demands that I make some effort, absorb some cost, to help any human being however bad, it does not demand that I do the same for all. I would do thinks for my children which I would not do for my friends, things for my friends that I would not do for deserving strangers, and things that I would do for deserving strangers that I would not do for undeserving strangers. This falls into that last gap - I would suffer the mains and risks of kidney donation for a deserving stranger but not for an undeserving one. And yes, I am being judgemental. But it is my kidney: I may make judgements about my own "property" which I would not be justified in making about common behaviour.
-
no.
-
Bear in mind that it's highly unusual for a kidney donor to know anything about the recipient, even his or her gender. Given that there is an incredible shortage of donor kidneys from strangers (family is a different story), if I knew this person's background (which is highly unlikely), I wouldn't donate to him -- knowing that there is probably a kid out there who could also benefit from it. I won't say that's an easy thing to say, but the situation you describe is highly unlikely to occur unless the serial rapist is a family member. But if I were inclined to be a kidney donor, and had the backgrounds on the possible recipients, I would feel a moral obligation to donate my kidney to the person with the greatest potential to do something good in the world.
-
I would not even consider it.
-
No! Absolutely not!
-
No, and then I'd rip of their genitals.
-
I would do what was in my power to reduce his sentence. That is to say, his life sentence would get shorter because I'm keeping my kidney.
-
Unless I know the guy personally, or he pleas personally with me convincing me that he had changed (everyone deserves a second chance---anyone who asks for it meaningfully that is!!), my answer is no, rot in hell!
-
I wouldn't give it to him and just wait for someone to take him 'out' in prison.
-
Absolutely not.
-
No... If he is in there for life already, what difference does it make if he dies of something else, faster?
-
NO ! Evil people do not deserve my kidney.
-
Are you nuts?
-
Nope, if it were up to me the only way out of that jail is on a body bag! :o)
-
Yes I would. Having decided to donate a kidney I would also have taken the decision to donate to anyone regardless of whom. Also being a Christian it is not for me to judge to does or does not get help. I would have prefered to donate to someone else, but I would not refuse to donate to anyone the hospital asked me to.
-
no i would save it in case the next day someone that deserves a chance at life gets it. i am a christian but god gave me common sense for a reason.
-
Errr no!
-
I'd laugh and hang up.
-
No. Let him accept that his actions have limited his life. Just like it limited the lives of his victims. If he thinks isn't Christian of me, then he should prove how good a Christian he is by accepting his fate and donating his other viable organs. That'll teach me!
