ANSWERS: 70
  • Only as much as every other religion.
  • To people who are not JW's the answer is yes. But everyone thinks their religion is the true religion or they wouldn't believe it.
  • I believe it is a recognized religion.
  • I can't see why it would be false.
  • it's a religion but with the people always coming to your door it gets really annoying, especially when u make the mistake of letting them in your house or apartment, they will NEVER leave, grrr!!!
  • yes, But which ones are not these days?
  • I would not say it is false. I do not agree with some of their beliefs (as they don't believe some of mine), but that does not mean their religion is false or wrong. My religion is right...for me, I do not expect it to be right for everyone else.
  • Is it a false religion, the answer will depend on the perspective. If you ask a jew he will say it's not real, if you ask a Jehovah's Witness he'll say yes, and ask and atheist, he'll say both are false.
  • The answer depends if your a Jehovah's witness or not. I personally am not, so I would say yes.
  • Religion is False, JWs' are a Cult, just like the RCC. Christianity is a Personal Relationship that is Alive & Growing between God & the Believer made possible through Jesus Christ Sacrifice for mankind & led by the Holy Spirit. No "church", No "Hoops", U & God!
  • Christinas believe that JW is a false religion for many reasons. Here's one and I hope that it's sufficient for you. 1. JW predicted the end times twice once in 1925 and once in 1975. Obviosly neither came to pass. Here's what the holy Scripture has to say about false prophets:Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
  • There was a comedian, kathleen madigan, who said "They believe that only like 100,000 or something are going to get into heaven. If thats what they want to believe, thats fine, but i wouldnt go around knocking on peoples doors if they want to join!" I laughed hard.
  • Define false religion.
  • I don't know what you mean by a false religion, but it is a cult. They claim to be Christian, and Christians follow the Bible literally, and they deviate from Scriptural teachings, especially in the fact that they ignore His being the Son of God. He was not but a good man or even a prophet. The prophesies of Isaiah meant something, which is why He alluded to them often.
  • No one knows which religion is false or true. Are they all false or are they all true. The JW's are confused in different ways than other Church Groups. What does it matter? Only the children are really forced to believe. And from what I hear, they are the first to rebel. I think the JW's try to do good. I dont know if they fail or not. Its not my cup of tea. I think going door to door is a good thing. It is certainly something other Christians do not do.
  • They are all false religions. I was raised as a JW, theirs is no different.
  • All religions are false
  • Jehovah's witness is a cult.
  • none of any of these answers is correct. you have all proved one thing, how misinformed you all are about the witnesses. also how strong your hatred of the religion is! no more no less!!!
  • no more false than Christianity. Apparently its based on christianity but not technically matching the definition of christianity. im not a christian so i will have to say that.
  • Yes, it's a religion and therefore false.
  • No. Because it is obedient... just look at what Jesus asked...and then answer truthfully whether or not J.W's do this. (Matthew 28:19-20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” Do J.W's preach?....YES. Do J.W's copy Jesus? (John 17:6) “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word. NAME...manifest./...publicised...? Yes. It is ehovah and Almighty God's personal name is used often and respectfully. We copy what Jesus did... (Acts 5:42) And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus. (Acts 20:20) while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house. The only religion that men and women preach the KINGDOM door to door... (John 13:15) For I set the pattern for YOU, that, just as I did to YOU, YOU should do also. IS ANY OTHER RELIGION DOING THIS?
  • Well that depends on your definition of 'religion' and the word 'false' the answer could be yes or no to both 'is it a religion' and 'is it false'. re⋅li⋅gion  [ri-lij-uhn] –noun 1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs. 2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion. 3. the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices: a world council of religions. 4. the life or state of a monk, nun, etc.: to enter religion. 5. the practice of religious beliefs; ritual observance of faith. 6. something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience: to make a religion of fighting prejudice. 7. religions, Archaic. religious rites. 8. • I don't know. Give us an example of a "True" religion.
  • All religions except my religion are false. It is called the church of God's unwanted children. Send me £99 via paypal and I will email you instructions on how to get true salvation.
  • Didn't Jesus say "Don't judge others and you won't be judged yourself?" sorry ruff paraphrase. I don't like the idea of pointing a finger at any Christian. Let Christ judge them. If they make you feel creepy I'd say thats the Spirit telling you to avoid them.
  • False... there is a bit of truth in all religion no?.. the devil himself looks like the angel of light.. he wants to get people away from "the truth" by making things look apealing.. I really don't believe that God has a religion.. he is called I AM.. He created this earth and put us on it to enjoy it.. I believe that anything that pulls the eyes away from God is false.. feeling obligated to get hours in, or guilty if you don't is not how God wants you to feel (I used to be a JW) We are called to be Christians.. followers of Christ.. Big Screen TV's, and monstorous organs, etc..etc.. do not seem to me like something Christ would be very interested in.. Christ would say.."nice!, how much can we sell if for..there is a homeless man three streets up" Talk to God.. and then whatever you hear..compare it to the word to have confirmation. God wants a relationship with you, and for you to have relationships with others.. NO wonder we are gonna have eternity!! its gonna be a lot of people to get to know, and it doesnt happen over night!!!
  • of course its false- so is christianity of every kind, and all other religions too. ok word to your mother.
  • Isn't the term "false" implied when one uses the word "religion?"
  • It's annoying as hell I know that much.
  • Hey, religions are just stories man. Stories someone made up that people can get behind and use as a crutch. It's all about how it makes you feel, and live. That's what a religion is for, the rest is a charade.
  • well no one really knows what the true religion, or there might not be a religion to some people. but i think that if i tell u that JW is a false religion wont solve anything. but i believe that it takes a experiance with God to be able to know what religion u belong
  • Yes, the bible (KJV) that I use says that the father, son, and the holy spirit is one called the Trinity. JW's believe that Jesus is a different god and or a great prophet. When the bible that I read says over and over again that God and Jesus are one. If you get that simple thing wrong you loose your salvation and its considered a false religion.
  • In order for there to be a false religion there would have to be a true religion. Thus, in my opinion, "no" is the answer to your question.
  • No. It's no more false than any other sect of Christianity. And quite a bit more sincere in its approach than some.
  • They are no more false than any other religion.I find JW's in some ways to be more sincere than the average christian. They at least read their bibles more compared to most denominations.
  • I don't believe that this is a religion at all. You are brainwashed into believing what they believe. You are tricked into their religion and then when they get you there it all changes. Have you seen all of the rules they have to follow. A few for instance is that they are not allowed to walk into a church building. I know a woman who could not go to her daughters wedding because it was in a church, they are not allowed to talk to anyone outside of their faith unless they are going door to door to try to recruit new members, when married they are only allowed to use sexual positions that has been approved by the watchtower guy. If anyone turns you in for going against the rules then you are taken to the board and reprimanded and maybe kicked out. Come on now, what does that sound like to you !! That religion is nothing from God, they teach false doctrine, this is nothing but a cult.
  • From the studying I have done, I have sadly come to the conclusion that it is. They are such lovely people and yet the way it was formed, their beliefs about the 144,000, that Jesus is not the Son of God, that the Holy Spirit is not of God but just a force, that they gave the name Jehovah which is not the same as Yaweh (I think that is what I AM is in the original language), all makes me know it is not true. Deeply deeply sad.
  • A good question that deserves a proper answer, one based on WHAT we do rather than what people THINK we do. A proper religion should obey the Bible...So do J.W's OBEY THE FOLLOWING?... Why is Jesus considered the Son and NOT the father.? (Philippians 2:6) who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. To be in God's 'form' is to be a spiritual being,,,and Jesus WAS...before he was SENT to us. Proverbs 8; 22-31 HE IS NOT EQUAL...How can one be not equal to oneself? Only if you are NOT that one. IF Jesus was God himself in another aspect, he would STILL BE EQUAL. And the trinity DOES teach that Jesus IS EQUAL AND IS...GOD It is a false teaching. Jesus asked us to do something...Matthew 28; 19,20 Preach the Kingdom. We do...evry single one to the best of their ability... Also it is done as Jesus did it... (Acts 5:42) And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus. (Acts 20:20) while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house. What should be preached? (Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. WHAT Kingdom? (Daniel 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite; WHY? Because this system, we now live in, run by Satan,, is ending... (2 Corinthians 4:4) among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. Notice that Satan is called "a" god...but he is definitely not "the" God, the one we should pray to... So this shows that the term "god" is a title and not a NAME. WHAT is God's NAME? (Exodus 6:3) And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but as respects my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them. the KJV says the same thing...but the RCC [ its their Bible] do not seem to read it. And about ' disfellowshipping'...most religions remove ones who are doing the wrong things...as for marrying outside the faith...it is discouraged but not banned...it just makes things a bit more difficult for those who remain in the faith... We know the 'witnessing' will not continue indefinitely...there has to be an end point soon...but we are patiently awaiting that time..." AND THEN THE END WILL COME" and NO J.W. takes any personal credit for anything that is done...
  • Let's cut to the chase here. The JW's have their own private version (NWT) bible. I have never seen a JW use any other translation but the NWT issued to them from the Watchtower Organization. They reject the Jesus of any other Bible for the Matthew 24:24-25 jesus of their own liking. The jesus of the Watchtower is an angel, not God. Read Hebrews 1:8&13 to see how their jesus goes astray of what the Bible says. Now, read Luke 4:8. There is nothing skewed about what is in these verses or the context. Jehovah God says that He is The Savior. We can't have two Saviors unless the two are of the same Spirit, thus they are the One True God. God is Spitit, period! Jesus is not an angel. All the endless Watchtower rederic that can blabbered from JW's gums here or anywhere else will not change the above conclusion. Let's now consider who will be saved. God will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. If God wants to save one and not another, that is His business and nothing any of us has to say will change that fact of the matter. Got Jesus? If you want the Biblical Lord Jesus Christ, you won't find Him in the Watchtower's New World Translation bible. See Revelation 22:18-19. got Bible? It won't open by itself and read to you. Time to get crackin' if you want to know who it is that made salvation possible. God's Spirit did it all in the person of Jesus. You can't improve upon perfection by willfully wishing Jesus to be an angel as the Watchtower and it's slaves would have you to believe. OK, time for the blatherer's to rev-up their motor mouths so that most of us can roll our eyes and shake our heads back and forth. If you can't use English proper when you respond, please don't respond in writing here. You only make the JW's and their organization look all the more foolish. Thank you.
  • They all are.
  • Not to Jehovah's Witnesses.
  • Well, first thing you need is for one religion to provide adequate evidence that it is the TRUE one. It's only after that you can identify false ones...
  • There is “a time to keep quiet and a time to speak,” says Ecclesiastes 3:7. Here, then, is the challenge: deciding when to ignore opposers and when to speak up to defend our faith. We can learn much from the example of one who was always perfect in discretion—Jesus. (1 Peter 2:21) He knew when it was “a time to keep quiet.” For instance, when the chief priests and the older men falsely accused him before Pilate, Jesus “made no answer.” (Matthew 27:11-14) He did not want to say anything that might interfere with the carrying out of God’s will for him. He chose, instead, to let his public record speak for itself. He knew that not even the truth would change their proud minds and hearts. So he ignored their charge, refusing to break his purposeful silence.—Isaiah 53:7.
  • RELIGION: 11. Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man…living in the sky. Who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer, and burn, and scream, until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you. He loves you and he needs money. George Carlin
  • No, I do not think that Jehovah’s Witnesses is a false religion +3
  • If any religion can prove God exists then it is not false.
  • All are either equally false or equally true depending on your perspective. Unless it's your own flavor of religion, in which case it is true and all other's false. +5
  • I am not one myself and while I disagree with most of what they believe in I would not say their re ligion is. false.
  • Not to the Jehovah Witnesses it isn't. It looks like a real religion to me: http://www.watchtower.org/
  • No, that would be Scientology.
  • Is there any other kind?
  • To determine if it's a false religion you look at how many man made rules there are. The only rule is God's rule, If you look at the JW and all the rules that they have then you know it's false religion. They are not allowed to walk into a church or santuary, why? They have Kingdom Halls. A co-worker of mine couldn't go to his own mothers funeral because it was held in a church. Someone please explain to me how JW is not a false religion. There are about 100 more rules that I would like to question .....
  • In a word, NO!
  • Ask God, He'll let you know if it's a false religion. JW's believe that their is room for 144,000 JW in heaven and only they will go. What's wrong with that picture?
  • Your question is flawed in that it assumes other religions are true.
  • All religions are false.
  • A few little non-answering quips from some dim bulbs but no actual responses to what I stated from Scripture yesterday. The slaves of the Watchtower have no good answers when the hangman's noose of Scripture is accurately drawn tight around their necks. I must now step higher up the greasy Watchtower ladder of false religion and see if they have any answers since their slaves are not up to the task. Hello, is there anyone from the Watchtower who can address my comments from yesterday? The Word of God stands true! Too bad that the Watchtower and it's slaves can't answer Scripture quoted using a King James Bible or any other accepted Bible except their private NWT bible. The Truth from the mouth of God is in complete opposition to JW's claims that Jesus Christ was not God revealing Himself in Christ's sinless human flesh. I'm only asking that those who are Watchtower slaves and their masters to have Biblical answers, not just endless babble that only confuses the reader and or changes the subject to avoid the fact that they are blind leaders/messengers leading unknowing souls astray with their own private version of truth. JW's can't stay on one topic for long, most especially when it comes to the Diety of Jesus Christ. This is the crux of what makes the Watchtower Organization and it's slaves a non-Christian religious CULT. The Jesus of the Bible is not the fantasy jesus of the cults. Anyone can quote Scripture rightly or wrongly. Be careful not to follow religious organizations and it's blind followers (sincere they may be) in sheeps clothing, they are false shepherds and witnesses who are doomed souls attempting to get on your good side to make you Watchtower slaves as well. If you have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will not need the Watchtower's constant endeavors of persuasion to convince you of their peculiar and odd doctrins. You must be born again from above. No church, denomination or cult can save you. They may be helpful or harmful but none can save your soul except Jesus Christ who is the King of kings and Lord of lords Savior. Anyone who trys to sell you a bill of goods that Jesus was/is not God in Christ is of anti-christ. A lesser than God, even if they tell you it to be so, can never save your soul. Anything that is less than God in Christ is spiritual poison which will lead to forever being estranged from God. May God bless those who humble themselves before Him. You don't need to agree with me. Get a Bible and read it in private to see what it has to say to you. Any person, religious group/ denomination should not be your primary guide. Let the Word of God be His guide for you to find Him.
  • Not to a JW! ;-)
  • i dont know so but if its like book of mormon maybe
  • It a down to earth religion. Lol
  • I don't think there's any such thing as a "false" religion. A religion is a set of beliefs in supernatural things that a group of people have. That's all. (Says me.)
  • Yes, because every religion is false. In the words of my cuzin Diane, "Religions are all a bunch of garbage made up by men to make fast money and control women."
  • false? well there are many in the same context
  • Matthew 7:13-14 "there is only one true religion" HOW TO KNOW THE TRUE RELIGION: *They follow their teachings in the scriptures(2Timothy3:16-17) *worship the only true GOD Jehovah(Matthew4:10) *they love each other(John 13:35) *they believe that God sent Jesus His son to save us(John3:16) *no part of this world(John 18:36) *they preach the good news(Matthew24:14) ~the question is, who have pass all the qualifications? PLS read Isaiah 43:10 see? the answer is just in the words of GOD Just Be Open Minded!
  • They are relatively new and I would encourage any one thinking of being a Witness to read 30 year Watchtower slave. The only reason this person came out is he was a Christian when he went in. Also Christian Freedom by Raymond Franz. Jehovah Witnesses are not allowed to read these books remember unity means more than truth. . I will close by saying this imagine you have a child in the Hospital that needs to have a blood transfusion in order to live, a judge gives an order for the child to receive the blood and a elder from the Kingdom hall encourages the family to remove the child from the hospital and let him die. Steel fist with velvet glove.
  • Sure. But, it's in good company with all of the other religions.
  • Absolutely not! If anything, the people of that religion have shown themselves to be the cream of the crop! The fact that they may "bug" you by knocking at your door at inopertune times is a small price to pay. In my opinion, they have to "truly" love their fellow man to want, or feel impelled to do that.
