He will recover. If he doesnt n a few days, then you should worry. When dogs digest chocolate.. it makes their heart race. But since white chocolate.. isnt really chocolate, and he didnt digest it, but threw it up.. he will be fine. ~+~

Try to avoid feeding your dog anything the vet wouldn't recommend.. He should be fine, give it a few hours.. but if he continues to vomit take him to a vet immediately.

Take him in to the vet. While puking is in some ways a good sign, chocolate (and I assume white chocolate is the same) has a substance known as theobromine which dogs cannot digest. In simple cases the dog feels bad or maybe has diarrhea and pukes. But the more build-up there is, the riskier the situation. I would take him in and let them make sure he's okay.

It lokks like your question is 4 minutes old. Chocolate can kill dogs. Who knows what else is in the cookie, any nuts? The dog is young and small, I'm not familiar with the cookie, I imagine it is relativly large, especially compared to the dog. Makes it more important to keep an eye on that dog. Watch for drooling, rapid panting, lasitude ( lazyness or 'wobblyness) course just vomiting will cause that in a dog. If the dog is not improved in half hour call the vet. Dog may vomit or try to , may be 'restless'. Watch for muscle tremors, or rigidity. Call vet right away if that happens. "symptoms occur within a few hours, but it has been known to be delayed for as long as 24 hours. It can take as long as three days for the dog to recover completely." Read this. http://www.baringvet.net/chocolate.htm It sez 'If your dog eats any quantity of cocoa powder, or plain chocolate go immediately to the vet. DO NOT WAIT FOR SYMPTOMS TO BEGIN.' Note it says 'plain chocolate' I think by 'plain; they mean 'pure,' white chocolate has less of the toxin and it is 'diluted' by the rest of the cookie. BUT it also sez'The outlook very much depends on how much chocolate... the dog has eaten...' and 'Recovered dogs show no long term ill effects from the poisoning.' Good luck. WATCH THAT DOG! Lemmee know how it works out. Please.
