  • It's the most widely "abused" browser. A lot of what you can't see is to actually protect IE. Some types of embedded web material has the capability of exploiting IE, so the fix MS comes up with is usually to disable that ability to see content in IE and leave it up to the individual if they want to run the risk. It's so full of holes and is the target of so many exploits because it IS popular and it doesn't help that Microsoft (theiving, murderous pirates that they are) actually produced it. It's likely not going to change with the new IE7. The big guys always have the targets painted on their backs. Having used all the major browsers, I know that I'll never use it as my default browser. But hey, what do I know, I'm just a FireFox Fan.
  • I use Firefox browser from Mozilla. Go to Firefox.com. It is great. It uses tabs and also has nice features for blocking popups, searching your favorites, history and a webpage you are viewing. You can set options to clear browsing history, cookies, etc.
