  • Yes. The Jews believe in the Old Testament of the Bible. That's where it speaks about Lucifer's rebellion. I'm not sure what their view is on the New Testament.
  • No. Judaism believes that Satan was appointed by G-d to interfere with a person's spiritual progress. Like any other angel, Satan is answerable to G-d at all times. The clearest example of this is where Satan asks permission from G-d to afflict Job. (see Job 1:6-12) (In fact, the Hebrew word Satan means obstacle, as evidenced by the first time it's used in the Bible- as a verb, when the angel blocks the path of Balaam and his donkey).
