OK, so the definition of an Oxymoron, is two words with opposite meanings used together to create a specific thing.. "Jumbo Shrimp" or "military intelligence". The only example (I know of)of two word that mean the same thing used together to create a different meaning is "Yeah, right".
tautology
If two words contradict each other, it's an oxymoron. If a statement leads to a conclusion that is illogical with regard to the original statement, its a paradox. If you have two terms that directly contradict each other (square circle), you have a "contradiction in terms". If a statement uses more words than you really need (white snow, green grass etc), it is a pleonasm.
You mean like the phrases "the hoi polloi," and "ATM machine?" :o)
Anti-oxymorons? If that's not right, at least it's fun to say.
dont know the answer but other examples include: "great big", "small little", (or "little small") and "past histories"

You're reading Is there a word which means the opposite to oxymoron (i.e when a noun implies, and thus makes redundant, the adjective put in front of it)? Don't ask for an example as I can't think of anything
