No, not really. Any such 'palindrome' will be a vowel, and a syllable. All syllables have an onset, a rhyme, and a coda. The onset and the coda are never quite the same. If you listen to some of your 'one-letter words' taped and played backwards, they will not sound right, because the coda per impossibile will come first. You are wrong to claim that there is no forwards or backwards.
