1. You wake up and realize the alarm did NOT go off, and you're running an hour late. 2. When you flip on the bathroom light, it blows the bulb and the fuse. 3. The toilet stops up, and the only plunger is in the back bathroom. 4. Your shower water is cold. 5. Your pants (or skirt) zipper gets stuck. 6. When you button your shirt/blouse, you realize you missed a button. 7. When you tie your shoes, the shoe-string breaks. 8. When you grab your briefcase, it opens and spills everything out. 9. When you get to your car, a tire is extremely low and you're almost out of gas - not enough to get to work. (The plan had been to leave early enough...) 10. You hit every stop light on the way out of town. 11. You have to stop on the ramp and wait to merge into traffic on the highway. 12. Traffic is slow in general, and there's no way you can pass anyone. 13. An accident up ahead brings traffic to a complete stop for at least 10 minutes, then you inch past it. 14. When you get to work, the door you normally enter is locked and you don't have a key. 15. The elevator is broken and you work on the 15th floor. 16. When you get to your desk and look out the window, you see this (or something similar):

Yeah, I think if that were the case, I'd chuck a sicky and not go into work.

Sounds to me like it should have been a sick day!
