  • Ask what's on your mind. There has to be something that has been bugging you. Ask questions that really matter to you. This question was good!
  • I buy my Answerbag questions at the corner deli...
  • I find myself paying attention to great questions through out the day, so I can post them on here. You know how if you look for the color blue, how it seems to pop up everywhere? It's kind of like that. I've just been paying attention to great questions all day.
  • Ask about things you want to know and that a lot of people can answer. Make sure you use proper grammar and spell everything right. Don't use "text messaging short-cuts." Read your question out loud to make sure it says what you really want it to say. Make sure it is really asking what you want to know. For instance, "Are cars better than vans, the blue ones?" doesn't make much sense. However, "Which shade of blue paint do you think is best for a car or van?" does make sense and is something we can all answer because it asks for an opinion. It's really isn't that hard.
  • Heh heh, I know what you mean. I don't ask great questions either.
  • Let me know when you figure it out. No, really, just ask what is on your mind. I do not ask many questions myself and usually when I do ask the question is triggered by something I have seen in an answer. The question fairy sometimes leaves them under my pillow as well.
  • Well... I have what I think are a lot of great questions, but I don't ask them -- because I don't like having to play host to all the answers! :) But here's a technique suggestion, just as an experiment, if you're stuck: work backwards. Instead of trying to think of a good question, take an existing answer that you like and ask yourself "if I don't presume anything about why this person is saying this, what question does it answer?" So for example, if the answer is "no, all my animals are fixed", you might come up with "Do you ever wonder what would happen if a human were crossed with their pet?" On the other hand, maybe that's just a bad idea.
  • Most of my questions are based on experience (school, work, travel, relationships). Some just came out of nowhere (usually those are my Outside the Bag questions).
