Why are there so many anonymouses out there? Seriously, aren't you supposed to have a name on here? Or can anyone be anonymous?

Not necessarily. I have seen some users that are Lv. 1 Anonymous, and they have provided some excellent answers. Even if it's just one answer, there are some answers that I've saw that were just great as well. Most of them are not here, but they make that positive impact for that one question. On the other hand, I can see what you mean by this; the trolls come by and try to diffuse the community here. It would be nice to eliminate the repeated trolls, but not the Lv. 1 Beginners, whom some have provided some excellent answers.

Only if they are trolls. There are also just plain regular new members who start out as anonymous and participate on this website just as well as those of us with "names". I have seen some stay anonymous as they rise in ranks, continuing to give good answers.

Not unless the user is just a menacing troll. I've received a lot of really great answers from Level 1 users who haven't created a user name yet. Only thing I don't like is that I enjoy thanking and welcoming new users who answer my questions, but I can't properly welcome those who haven't created a custom user name. I tend to not welcome Anonymous users because I wouldn't know if I had already welcomed them or not.

No. I was Level 1 Anonymous once (because I didn't know yet then how to change my avatar and username). I actually see myself as an ABer in some of them.

Well, we were all new users at one time. I don't mind those clearly trying to get a feel for the site and learning the ropes. It can take a little time to hit on'es stride here. Sometimes you run across someone who's clearly mistaken AB for Yahoo Anwers or has a life so devoid of quality that their notion of fun is to verbally abuse others or make offensive remarks. Those people seem to disappear pretty quickly and then it's business as usual.
