Of course it does, I've had alot of dogs and I've seen them hurt their tales plenty of times. So I'm pretty certain they feel pain in their tails and I'm sure if it was cut off that would be pretty painful. With some breeds it is common to cut off their tails soon after birth, I've seen it done with rotts once, it was a little disturbing to me, didn't phase my girlfriend. They definitely experienced pain though. But it's considered human if it's done at the right time and done properly, usually the vet does it for you.

Is it painfull for to have you're finger cut of? (I consider it a rather barbaric practice, but it is still commonplace with quite a few breeds including rottwielers, and rat terriers)

Did you know that the normal humsn has one a bone growing very slowly at the back of their bottown back. The bone is a form of tail so we are sort of like dogs in a way.
