Absolutely!

Yes. I clearly remember evacuating the school bus every afternoon, just as soon as I saw my boyfriends car at one of the stops :)
-
Yep! I remember doing evacuation drills and hopping out the back of the bus. Fun stuff!

OOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Awesome story!!!! On my last day of my....sophomore year in high school (I think?? Maybe junior??) When we got to the school we all went out through the fire escape on the bus. The driver was pissed but what was she gonna do?? That was the year I learned detentions could carry over to the next year. And the person whose idea it was was a senior and graduating so it didn't hurt him any. Just us.

I've never met him.

I only rode the bus in Kindergarten and 1st grade in Indy. I DON'T remember having any evacuations. Then we moved to Lafayette, and I walked or rode my bike when I was older, believe it or not, a mile each way, to and from school. Only times we rode in ANYTHING was in heavy rain and snow (COLD) conditions, and THAT was in my parents' cars.

I take the subway.
-
No I drive my car.
-
When I did work, drove a car. Have mostly always lived in country and so having a car was a must.
-
Hi Baba, No, I drive my car. If I were to use public transportation, I would walk 6 blocks to a train platform, climb up 2 flights of steps, get on the train that goes down into the subway, transfer to another train that comes up above ground (elevated), get off at my stop and wait for a bus to my workplace. Given the weather extremes in Chicago, it is just too much dependency on outside variables. How about you?
-
I had to ride the bus to school for the first few years. Then I started walking both to & from, until I became 16 and drove.
-
No, it's too crowded and has no seat belts.
-
If there was a bus, I'd ride it. Could'nt be as much as the amount I pay for gas and the wear and tear on the car.............
-
Yeah, It helps since my school is already a 20 minute ride in car and my mom can't take me.
-
No, but I wish that was an option for me.
-
