  • Yes, the contract is legally binding unless any of the provisions favor one party over the other. The purpose of notarizing is simply to verify that the parties that sign the contract are who they say they are. It does not add any legitimacy to the contract that is not already there. The contract can still be litigated in court if either party tries to back out.
