I would imagine that you genetic father's name is on your birth certificate. Order a copy of your BC from a public records office.

in the U.S, I think lawsuits are public record. So if you're in the U.S., look for your state law record website (or the state where it happened). If it doesn't have it, it might be able to tell you where to find it. I assume you've gotten a DNA thingy, and know for sure your dad is not your bio father. If you haven't it'd be worth getting that first before you search up.

My husband found his long lost son from myspace. He knew his name though, and turns out his son was looking for him also. Is there someone that can help you get a last name? You didn't say how old you are but after age 18 there are agencies that can help you with the search.

Contact the court where the original proceedings took place. They will have a record of the people involved, with his full legal name. Also write for a copy of your original birth certificate. You can ask for help at your school if your Mom won't help you.

you could try asking your family members but only if you trust them they might go back and tell your mother.if its something you want bad honey..youll find a way..good luck

I'd do it after I turned of age. Aint nothing she can do but get mad about it once you're 18.
