Yes, and I guess the cell manufacturers are taking note. I've seen a Sony Erricson w ???i which has a flash and camera. In the Tools menu, you can use the flash on the camera as a stand alone flashlight. However, like you, I find the glare from the screen sufficient.

Power went out at work Thursday evening, so I was using my cell phone to find my way into my sound booth and shut the power off all my equipment to avoid any problems with power surges later on. New LG phone, but a nice, bright light.

Mine's not to bright, but i've used it to light a path, get to my room when coming in really late (don't want to wake my Ma up) also for seeing what i'm doing when sitting in a dark place and doing something (like writing, or reading etc.)

Yes! I use mine as my alarm clock too, so when I'm going upstairs to bed at night I use it to light my path after turning out the house lights.

Yes, all the time actually, it's quite helpful. And when I'm walking to my neighbors house, through my woods, at night, I use it to look at the ground to make sure I don't trip on anything. I use the light for a lot of things though, it helps.

Yeah, all the time. One time we were at my bf's brother's house and the room we stayed in had no light. I was getting ready for bed and someone was in the br so I used my phone to take out my contacts. That was fun.
