  • All the hay he wants. Plus about 2 cups of veggies per 6 lbs of his bodyweight. If he's smaller he will need less. Select at least three kinds of vegetables daily. A variety is necessary in order to obtain the necessary nutrients, with one each day that contains Vitamin A, indicated by an *. Add one vegetable to the diet at a time. Eliminate if it causes soft stools or diarrhea.   • the diet should be mostly be a quality first cutting timothy, which you can buy from a farmer. the pet store timothy is often over processed. make sure it is good quality. feed this in unlimited quantites, and you can occasionally mix in a oat or brome hay for a treat (with 1/4 cup of PLAIN rabit food per 5 lbs.). the "mixed" food is too high in starch and upsets the flora in the rabbits deigestive system. you can feed one packed cup of greens per 5 lbs of bunny. some good greens are kale, spinach, celery, VERY limited carrot, romaine lettuce, and kohlrabi.
