Just spray all the ignition parts ,wires, coils, plug wires, etc. with a good silicone based spray /purchase @ any auto store. If it is raining hard and it is dark out side open hood if car will start you will see a pretty arh show if it is you're plug wires.GM has to have the worst moisture problem dating back to the early 70's when we had to remove distributor cap in the rain to spray wd40 inside it to get car started.

Back in 1990 i went on a trip out west to yellowstone, Bryce canyon, Grand canyon and Hoover dam. I drove a Dodge D50. I noticed that whenever i was at high altitude, i had a hard time starting it. It seemed to be flooded, and when it did start it smoked black. I bought a new air cleaner on the trip and it didn't help. When i got home to PA, i took the carb apart and couldn't find anything wrong, but it was working OK then. I did some research and found out that cars with a computer have a barometric sensor that will adjust the gas mixture for altitude. That is most likely your problem.
