  • Noooo.. Because they warned you not to do it. And you did it anyway. They have no responsibility. Be more careful next time, eh?
  • How do you overdose on cough medicine? Did you break your reading glasses?
  • I did that before with dextromethorephan (I am taking a guess that that is what you OD'ed on) when I decided to knock out my cough or die trying. I took about 2 1/2 times to 3 times recommended dosage. I regretted that decision. Now I go to the doctor if it is THAT bad. I do not have an unopened bottle of Robitussin handy but I believe that this is listed as a possible side effect on the pamphlet insert. Regardless, if you used the medication incorrectly, it is your (and my) responsibility for the consequences.
  • You are issued a long........warning with each perscription! And told how much you are allowed to take per every 3 to 6 hours!
  • I'm sure they would not be held accountable for your mistake. Did you read the dosing directions on the bottle before you took it?
  • Any medicine taken excesively will cause some harm. That is why the dosage is marked on the container. Now seeing as we live in a "sue"everyone world,if you have an amazing lawyer you can sue anyone for anything.Meanwhile my insurance rates skyrocket! And my brother that was in a 40 car pile up and is needing more surgery's(already had 3)cant get his insurance to pay for his lost wages, distroyed lap top, ruined bass.BUT any way yeah you go ahead and blame someone else for your error.
  • Nope. Its your fault for not paying attention. I make sure I know just about everything I need to before putting anything into my body.
  • What ever, its called Dextramorphane... its great, you have to know all cold and flu medicine does is get you F"D up... thats why you dont "feel" sick. I dont mean to offend you, if your still sippin on some syrup, hit me up tomorrow... Peace, luv ya!
  • Well lots of people "Robo-trip" as a cheap acid trip, and I'm sure that somewhere on the bottle it has a maximum daily dosage and probably says contact the poison control center in case of an OD... Or has a number to call!! So, yeah it's the consumers fault
  • You have to be careful when messing with DXM (the active ingredient in most cough syrups). DXM is classified as a dissociative drug, in the same group as PCP and ketamine. I've had the unfortunate experience myself of having too much of it when I had a really pesky cough. In future, realize that the directions on medicines are there for a reason!
