  • Ive noticed that too. Its a shame eh? If limewire doesn't have enough or doesn't have the ones you want you could try other programs that share music. I know there are several out there. Imesh is the one I use, it works fine and has a lot more.
  • Generally, I think that's because limewire has a (deserved) bad reputation for really skrewing with the computer of anyone foolish enough to run it, so a lot of people have just stopped using it. Speaking from personal experience... I tried limewire for a while due to it's seemingly unrivaled speed and ease of use, but after hearing so many horror stories about it, I decided to run a security scan on my computer, which uncovered enough limewire-related bugs, viruses, and security holes to keep me busy for days. After that, limewire went bye-bye, to be replaced by soulseek (which I've since found to have a much better selection, security, and interface if you're willing to wait a little longer).
