  • You could have bought some gasoline, that was bad, or had too much ethenyl mixed in. If you are running an octaine lower than your owners manual calls for, that also would be a factor. The computers in a car are programed to the octaine that it calls for. I had a similiar problem about four years ago, and the tech told me, do not use a lower octaine. BUT, the problem turned out to be a bad batch of gasoline. I hope you find the problem, very soon, that is very frustating..Good Luck..
