  • Probably like A LOT because those things have many calories
  • Quite a lot...and tons of sodium, too. Even something like shrimp and broccoli, where the shrimp isn't even breaded and fried, is very high in sodium even though it's low in points. I have issues with water retention if I don't watch my sodium, so I don't eat Chinese food as often as I used to. Are you a WW member? If you buy the Dining Out companion, there's a list in the back (after all the chain listings) of many different ethnic dishes.
  • i think it's a million. lol, seriously tho, it's alot. have you tried the weight watchers website? you can get alot of recipes from there and often you make your favorite dishes = with a few substitutions here and there. Good luck with WW!
  • It really isnt as bad as what you would think if you havent had a good splurge in a while, but in just the chicken balls themselves i think its about 10 points, then another ten for the rice. Im not sure if this is for a portion or the full serving. Curry sauce, at a guess, probably isnt as bad as the sweet and sour sauce thats usually on chicken balls. The things you've asked about are quite bad as they are all fried, and unfortunately, with weight watchers, the points are calculated by saturated fat and calories, with there special formula. If you really want a chinese, go for something with chicken or seafood and veg, or if you have a good few points to spare, have a chow mein, as thats very filling, and you tend not to have rice or chips with this so that takes that urge away from you. Sorry i couldnt be more helpful and my points are just an estimate but at least they give you a rough guide. The weight watchers eating out guide has lots more info in it, and the book you get with week 2 i think, has lots of points values for when you are eating out. You dont have to stop eating good food when dieting, just eat it in moderation and make wiser choices, ie boiled food over fried. Hope this helps x
  • there are 10 points in chicken balls 10 in egg fried rice and 2 in curry sauce, i work in a chinese take away so learning the points for everything xxx
  • My WW class actually discussed Chinese take aways this week! I'm not sure about the chicken balls but a tray (metal one with white lid, small size) of fried rice is 11. A tub of curry sauce (styrofoam cup size, same size cup as what the soups are served in) is 14 points, a chicken curry is around 18, veg chow mein (long metal tray) is 7 points and a chicken one is 9. The chow mein points are the points valuse in the english WW books but their chow meins are served in small metal trays, the same size as our rice ones, so I don't know if ours are double the points seens as our trays are longer. Also, beware of prawn crackers - HALF A POINT IN EACH!!! But if you fancy something tasty to start I would recommend the soups - chicken and sweetcorn soup is 2.5 points! Brilliant starter that will take the hunger away and might stop you eating all your mains. Anyways, best of luck with the WW - and enjoy your chinese. I eat the odd one and still loose weight. And I don't go for low fat options either let me tell you!! I'm talking chicken fried rice, chips, sauce, prawn crackers AND chicken balls! WW fan, Dublin
