This is really hard to answer. You'd think that a super group of Joe Satriani, Jaco Pastorius and Buddy Rich would be astonishing but in truth they seldom work. Look at Blind Faith - superb individual musicians but pretty poor band. Many people would lay claim to the Beatles being the best rock band in history (and they'd have a point) yet none of the Beatles would make my top ten list in any proficiency list. Sometimes it comes together and just clicks.

They asked this question on Planet Rock radio where u would vote for each individual member and when the polls came in from all round the country for guitar: Jimmy Page for lead vocals: Robert Plant for bass : John Paul Jones and of course for drums: John Bonham haha it just shows you that Led Zep just cant be topped and i agree with every one
