If you drink water from a spring, it will have minerals in it, as it picks up these from the ground as it passes through. If you are drinking pure spring water, don't hassle about the minerals. Your body needs them anyway.

Well, it's not necessarily PURE water as you'd think it, but it's called distilled water.

not really. PURE water has no ions and would therefore strip its container and anything that came into contact with it (think flesh) of its ions, virtually dissolving it. So, if you could somehow GET pure water, it would melt you. So, the little minerals that are in water are actually there for the water to attach to, or the other way around, and prevents you from melting. Good stuff.
