It is, for it was the first book printed on the movable type printing press of Johann Gutenburg, and due to the exclusivity of the reading of the Bible in earlier times, once the Bible was published in bulk, it sold like hot cakes in winter. Also, America was founded due to the search for religious freedom, and they were protestants for they protested the dogma preached in the anglican church that was government sanctioned and all had to attend and tithe. Also, many peoples have been oppressed by communism and many other things, and though we can research this until we are depressed, God knows the trevail of those people in the past, the present and the future, and it is His Word that gives hope. It is this reason, why there are millions of underground Chinese churches that escape the communism to read God's Word, for it gives peace and answers all questions that man has or will ever need to know in this life.
